Unwinding

It rained most of the night last night, but we awoke this morning to dry streets and the sun trying to peek through. The skies have been mostly overcast today, but no rain.

After four days on the road, we spent the day taking care of some chores and just "Unwinding" from being on the move. We made a trip to Wal-Mart and the Post Office after we drove to the beach for a seafood lunch . . . Carole was hungry for clam chowder.

We stopped at The Oyster House at the beach with our taste buds ready for Clam Chowder. But we were told Clam Chowder was discontinued at The Oyster House last month. We had our choice of Seafood Gumbo or Oyster Stew. Those were the only soups on the menu.

Carole had the Oyster Stew and I had the Seafood Gumbo. The Oyster Stew was loaded with lots of huge oysters. The gumbo was full of fish, crab, and shrimp. Both were so good we forgot about our chowder craving.

After lunch, I stuck my head in the diving suit display while Carole snapped my picture, then we returned to "The Bus" for a little more "Unwinding".

The weather is supposed to be cloudy with some rain tomorrow, but nice sunny weather thereafter. So we'll get in some time at the beach then.

We made it through today without a single 'April Fool's Day' joke. Now that's something!
