Go Fly a Kite

What a beautiful day at the beach! Not a cloud in the sky, bright sun, temperature in the 70's, and a slight but steady wind. A perfect day to "Go Fly a Kite". It just so happened that Mike, Dean's nephew, had a stunt kite with him, which we quickly assembled and put up.

It was lots of fun making the stunt kite do a variety of acrobatics. Mike and I took turns flying the kite . . .

We took time out to have lunch at a restaurant located on a pier out over the beach. We were seated at an outside table on the deck overlooking the water. Mike stepped to the railing to check out activity down the beach.

Mike & Michelle were able to rent a condo on the 14th floor of a high rise right on the beach. The condo had two bedrooms, one and a half baths, a full kitchen with breakfast bar, and a sizable living room. The view from their balcony overlooking the beach and the Gulf was awesome.

We all enjoyed a great day at the beach. The weather was great and it was nice to be able to spend some time with Mike, Michelle, and Cody. Cody talked his mother into letting him get a henna tattoo, Michelle & Carole were able to get in a little shopping at the beach shops, and Mike & I were able to "Go Fly a Kite".

Too bad they have to return home to Fort Wayne, Indiana, tomorrow morning, but it was a nice visit and a great day at the beach!
