A cold front blew through Gulf Shores, Alabama, today bringing with it nearly a whole night & a full day of rain. I haven't seen the weather report, but I would guess we had at least 2 inches . . . and it really rained hard for a while. We ended up with some of the streets in the RV Park flooded.
Dean's nephew, Mike Davis, his wife, Michelle, and her son, Cody, have been on a driving vacation from Fort Wayne, Indiana, over Spring Break and came into Gulf Shores for a day at the beach. They checked in to a condo on the 14th floor of a high rise right on the beach, but with all of the rain, couldn't spend any time on the beach.
So, we all went to a fabulous new shopping area with many restaurants in nearby Orange Beach, Alabama. We stopped at the Live Bait Restaurant (no, they don't sell bait) for dinner and enjoyed live music entertainment provided by a college student guitar player. He was very good playing and singing a wide variety of music. Cody especially enjoyed him as he plays the guitar and would like to become a performer. Our dinner was also very good . . . although a little pricey.
The storm front and the rain has now passed and tomorrow is expected to be a sunny day . . . so hopefully Mike & Family can enjoy a sunny day on the beach. We plan to join them for a walk in the sand too.
